History

Built in 1902 as a private residence for William M. Angas, a Jacksonville entrepreneur, the home enjoyed an unobstructed view of the St. Johns River and held a prestigious place on "The Row" before the expansion of the neighborhood.

Bordering downtown Jacksonville, the Inn is located in the Riverside National Register Historic District, one of the most diverse collections of historic residential architecture in Florida.

The impressive exterior of our three story home is in the Frame Vernacular style with a steeply pitched gable roof, shed dormers and a 70-foot recreated wraparound porch. The heart pine floors, fireplaces and double-hung sash windows have been restored to their original splendor. (Read more on the restoration...)
